A great success for the “Technology Day” activities organized by Telnet in Ramallah Telnet organized the Technology Day in Ramallah in cooperation with Fortinet, a company specialized in networks and information security, and Fujitsu, a company specialized in data center solutions. The event was attended by a large number of employees in the communications, government, education, health and service sectors, in addition to companies providing Internet services, and a large number of interested parties. The meeting was opened with a welcoming and introductory speech by the General Manager of Telnet, Engineer Yazan Misbah Jaber, in which he said that the company was established more than five years ago, to be, with its capabilities and the experience of its staff, an additional building block in the technology and communications sector in the Palestinian market, by benefiting from the partnership with many leading global companies in the communications and information technology sector, most notably Fortinet and Fujitsu. He pointed out that “Telnet” has provided the Palestinian market with many new and creative products and ideas to develop and support related companies and institutions with the aim of advancing and developing the communications and information technology sector in Palestine. He pointed out that the company has worked with most sectors and completed major projects. Regarding the “Technical Day”, which was managed by Eng. Alaa Saif, Jaber explained that it came from the company’s vision to establish a real partnership, display the latest modern technologies of leading global companies in their field, and display developments at the global level and the future outlook for any technical challenges that have arisen or may arise. Mr. Ashraf Issa, Director of “Fortinet” Palestine Branch, pointed out the interest that his company gives to the Palestinian market and providing it with the required energies and expertise to advance the information protection and security sector, as “Fortinet” is considered one of the world’s leading companies in this field. Technical Day Activities: The technical day began with a valuable lecture delivered from France via video conference by Fortinet Sales Manager Raphael Laman, who spoke about Machine Learning technologies and how to benefit from them in protecting networks and information systems. Then, John Staden, Sales Manager for the German company Fujitsu in the Middle East, who was present at the technical day, spoke about the company’s products and technologies in providing innovative and diverse solutions for data centers, and the latest in modern science in “Data Centers Servers and Storage” technologies through the “Hyper Converged Solution” technology, which is considered the most recent in the world. In the second lecture of Fortinet, presented by Eng. Mohammad Hassan, he talked about modern technologies in the field of Internet connectivity SD-WAN and ways to protect networks from SEIM Solution breaches. Eng. Yousef Rabi from Telnet also talked about the latest technologies in the world of data centers and the services provided by Telnet to Palestinian companies and institutions, starting from studying the existing environment to providing solutions and suggestions appropriate to the work environment. This was followed by organizing two competitions through a mobile phone application in an innovative and distinctive way that was well received by the audience. The competition depended on the speed of the correct answer, where the first prize for the competition for Fortinet lectures was won by Eng. Mohammad Samoudi from the American University, and the first prize for Fujitsu lectures was won by Eng. Farah Kasbari from the Ramallah Municipality.
