A new achievement has been recorded by the telecommunications and networking company, Telnet, after successfully completing the development of the technological infrastructure for the National Data Center at the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology.

The General Manager of Telnet, Engineer Yazan Musabah Jabr, confirmed the company’s commitment to supporting Palestinian governmental, private, and civil institutions by developing and updating their data centers with state-of-the-art global technologies. He stated that this strategic partnership with the Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology led to the development of a national data center, which is considered as a core nucleus for electronic services provided to governmental institutions and entities.

He highlighted that support and expansion of the national data center involved additional servers and data storage systems according to international standards to accommodate increasing demand for hosting virtual servers and applications while ensuring quality performance. This aims to enhance services provided to institutions, entities, and citizens alike.

A statement released by the ministry mentioned that the center hosts servers providing electronic services for various governmental institutions. This includes physical servers as well as virtual servers capable of containing necessary information and data. The center also stores different types of data for emergency retrieval through advanced backup technologies ensuring data safety along with ease and speed in retrieving it when needed.
